At Mentink Family Farms, we have been growing our own beyond organic food for almost 15 years. We are so passionate about knowing how our food is raised, avoiding toxins, and we LOVE the flavor. As people have witnessed this and tasted the difference, we have had many requests to grow things for them. This is how our business got started. With our recent move from 4 acres to 35 acres, we now feel ready to provide clean food for others.
We are not certified organic, but go beyond the recommendations. We avoid GMOs, soy, hormones, chemical dewormers and fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, even on our yard. We use compost and rotational grazing to build our soil. We use free choice kelp, Redmonds salt, apple cider vinegar, and diatemacous earth to improve animal health.
We currently have Grass-Finished Lamb and Heritage Pasture-Raised Pork available. Currently we do not ship out. We are growing our grass-finished beef, chicken, and treatment-free honey, and Lord willing plan to provide these in the future.
We love to answer questions about our farming practices and welcome visits to our farm.
