Heritage Hills Farm is a small family farm in central Illinois with beautiful, rolling hills and creeks flowing throughout, and many wooded regions for shelter and shade for our animals. We are dedicated to raising healthy animals on a 100% forage-based diet. Our cows are fed no grain, and are given no antibiotics nor hormones. We have Red Angus Cross cows with a smaller frame that are specifically bred for a grass-based diet.
We price our beef based on market price and will lock in your price when you order and a deposit is received. We sell per pound hanging weight in a mixed quarter, half, or whole. Typical hanging weights are 250–300 pounds per half. We use Magro’s in Auburn, IL as our processor. They will custom-cut your order to your specifications and use vacuum wrap which provides a totally sealed see-through package. Processing costs usually run about $1.00 per pound.
Our animals are always treated humanely and are not confined or put into any stressful environment. Our cows rotationally graze on open pastures throughout the year for optimal animal wellness. Whenever high quality pasture is not available we feed our cows hay harvested from our own farm.
We have individual packages of meat for sale for pick up at our home or local delivery. Call for details.
